If you could see the world through my eyes,
You may better understand,
All I want is understanding, could you maybe be my friend,
I know I may look different, see the world in a different view,
If you could walk a mile in my shoes, and see what I’ve been through,
If you could see the world through my eyes, all the looks and all the stares,
You would wonder why the hostility, you would wonder don’t they care,
God gave me a beating heart, like yours it hurts and mends,
I know how to love and show that I care to my family and my friends,
If you could see the world through my eyes, you would know what it means to hurt,
To have people who know you, and others who will treat you like dirt,
All I need is a smile and a moment, a second of your precious time,
To share my accomplishments, or just a voice saying your doing fine,
If you could see the world through my eyes, you would KNOW there is a loving God,
We all do the best that we can in this world, when we die we return to the sod,
Don’t you ever feel sorry for me, I just want you to understand,
I know of Gods love through his nail pierced hand,
If you could see the world through my eyes, you would realize God makes no junk,
He has given me great abilities, and my life has never sunk,
When you pass me on the street today, do not stop and stare,
I would love for you to say hello, and show me that you care.
